Yolk Recruitment is exclusively partnering with a well-established organisation in Cardiff to recruit an Expenses Assistant on an initial 12-month fixed-term contract. This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate or someone looking to build their career in finance, with an immediate start available.

The organisation is investing in automation and AI to improve its expenses processes, creating a need for additional support within the finance team. You will play an important role in reviewing expenses claims, processing payments and responding to employee queries, gaining valuable experience within an established finance function.

• Review and process employee expenses claims, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.

• Check receipts and supporting documentation.

• Process expense payments accurately and within agreed deadlines.

• Respond to employee queries regarding expenses and payments.

• Investigate discrepancies and resolve issues where possible.

• Maintain accurate financial records and update expenses data.

• Support the wider finance team with transactional duties.

• Adapt to new systems and processes as automation and AI are introduced.

• A recent graduate or someone looking to develop a career in finance.

• Previous experience in administration, finance, accounts payable or expenses would be beneficial but is not essential.

• Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.

• Confident using Microsoft Excel and other computer systems.

• Good communication skills and the ability to respond to queries professionally.

• Organised, reliable and able to manage deadlines.

• Happy to undertake hands-on, transactional work, including processing payments.

• Available to start immediately and commit to an initial 12-month contract.

• Salary of up to £30,000.
