The individual should already have a strong track record within accountancy and be credible with entrepreneurial and owner-managed businesses.

The existing leadership team has significant client responsibilities already, so this appointment isn't about finding someone to simply absorb work. The firm wants somebody who can create new opportunities, develop relationships and ultimately bring meaningful fees into the business.

You are likely to be ACA or ACCA qualified and currently operating as a Director, Partner Designate, Salaried or established senior leader within another accountancy firm.

The intention is for the successful individual to demonstrate their impact during the first year and, assuming the fit and performance are right on both sides, move towards ownership rather than remaining permanently salaried.
