Systems Accountant - #2170890

Robert Half are partnering with a global organisation to recruit an experienced Systems Accountant to support a major ERP implementation project.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a finance professional with strong systems expertise to play a key role in the delivery of a bespoke ERP solution within a complex, international environment. Working closely with finance, IT, and senior stakeholders, the successful candidate will help bridge the gap between finance operations and system functionality, ensuring a smooth and successful implementation.

• Supporting the end-to-end implementation of a bespoke ERP system across the organisation.
• Acting as the key liaison between Finance, IT, and external implementation partners.
• Gathering, documenting, and translating finance requirements into system specifications.
• Reviewing and improving existing finance processes to align with the new ERP platform.
• Supporting system configuration, testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and deployment activities.
• Leading data validation, reconciliation, and migration processes.
• Developing finance reporting capabilities within the new system.
• Creating process documentation, user guides, and training materials.
• Delivering training and ongoing support to finance users.
• Identifying implementation risks and recommending solutions to project stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Proven experience as a Systems Accountant, Finance Systems Analyst, or ERP Project Accountant.
• Previous involvement in ERP implementation, upgrade, or transformation projects.
• Strong understanding of finance processes, controls, and accounting principles.
• Experience working with large ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite, or similar systems.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience working within complex, multi-site, or global organisations would be highly advantageous.
• The ability to operate effectively within a fast-paced project environment.
