The Opportunity

PYRA Construction Solutions is recruiting on behalf of a fire and security company for an experienced Fire & Security Engineer to join its growing team.

This is an active, hands-on engineering role suited to someone confident carrying out installations, servicing, maintenance and fault-finding across a range of fire and security systems.

The successful candidate will work across commercial client sites throughout South Wales, Gloucester and Bristol.

Offering a salary of £40,000 per annum and a permanent opportunity, this is an excellent position for an engineer looking for long-term stability and varied site-based work.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, service and maintain fire alarm systems.

• Carry out installation and maintenance of CCTV systems.

• Work on access control and intruder alarm systems.

• Diagnose faults and carry out repairs efficiently.

• Test systems and ensure they operate correctly.

• Complete service reports, job sheets and site documentation.

• Ensure all work complies with relevant standards and health and safety requirements.

• Maintain professional relationships with clients and site teams.

• Travel between sites across the designated region.

Requirements

• Previous experience working as a Fire & Security Engineer.

• Practical experience with fire alarms and security systems.

• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work independently and manage site-based tasks.

• Full UK driving licence.

• Reliable, professional and customer-focused approach.

• Flexibility to travel across South Wales, Gloucester and Bristol.

• Available to start immediately or at short notice.
