The Opportunity

An established, multidisciplinary construction consultancy is looking to appoint an Associate Quantity Surveyor to join their Cardiff office.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Associate Quantity Surveyor with strong knowledge of the local construction market, looking to play a key role in developing client relationships and supporting the continued growth of the business across South Wales.

The Role

As an Associate Quantity Surveyor, you will take responsibility for delivering cost consultancy services across a varied portfolio of projects, whilst helping to develop new business opportunities within the local market.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading projects from feasibility through to final account.
• Managing and developing relationships with existing and prospective clients.
• Identifying new business opportunities across Cardiff and South Wales.
• Providing cost planning, procurement and contract administration services.
• Mentoring junior Quantity Surveyors and supporting team development.
• Working closely with senior leadership to support business growth.

The Candidate

The successful Associate Quantity Surveyor will have a strong consultancy background, excellent commercial awareness and a good understanding of the Cardiff and South Wales construction market.

You will ideally have:

• MRICS chartership - highly desirable.
• A degree in Quantity Surveying or a relevant construction discipline.
• Strong experience within a UK construction consultancy.
• Established knowledge of the local market, key clients and business opportunities.
• Excellent client-facing, networking and relationship management skills.
• The ambition to contribute towards business development and team growth.
