Senior Wealth Manager – Financial Planning

Cardiff | £90,000–£100,000 + Bonus & Excellent Benefits | Hybrid Working

Reference: JC/23554

Are you an experienced Wealth Management professional who enjoys developing Financial Advisers, influencing business strategy and having a genuine say in how a business grows?

I'm working with a highly regarded, established Wealth Management firm in Cardiff that we've worked closely with for nearly 10 years. During that time, the business has enjoyed consistent growth through both acquisitions and organic expansion and is now looking to appoint an experienced Senior Wealth Manager to support its growing team of Financial Advisers.

This is a newly created position offering a salary of £90,000–£100,000 plus bonus, excellent benefits and hybrid working.

It's an opportunity to take on a senior leadership role where your ideas will be listened to, your experience will be valued, and you'll have the freedom to make a real difference.

Why Consider This Opportunity?

  • Excellent package – £90,000–£100,000 basic salary, plus bonus and benefits.
  • Hybrid working – A combination of home and office working.
  • Newly created role – The opportunity to shape the position and make it your own.
  • Genuine autonomy – Freedom to influence business strategy, Adviser development and future growth.
  • Established business – Join a respected Wealth Management firm with a strong track record of growth.
  • Senior-level exposure – Work closely with the senior leadership team and heads of department.
  • Long-term opportunity – Play an important role in the continued development and expansion of the business.

What Will You Be Doing?

You'll work closely with both new and established Financial Advisers, helping them develop their businesses, achieve their goals and deliver consistently high standards of financial advice.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing one-to-one mentoring, coaching and ongoing support to Financial Advisers.
  • Helping Advisers develop and review their annual business plans, budgets and targets.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve performance and develop new business streams.
  • Supporting the recruitment, onboarding and development of new Advisers.
  • Conducting annual appraisals and ensuring individual development plans are in place.
  • Working with senior management on business strategy and wider projects.
  • Maintaining high advice standards and ensuring the team operates within FCA requirements.
  • Developing relationships with professional introducers to support future business growth.

What Experience Will You Need?

This opportunity would suit an experienced Wealth Management leader who has a strong commercial background and enjoys helping others succeed.

You'll need:

  • A minimum Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning or equivalent.
  • A proven track record of successfully managing and developing Financial Advisers.
  • Strong experience within private client Wealth Management or Financial Planning.
  • A good understanding of business development, Adviser performance and financial planning strategy.
  • Confidence working with senior stakeholders and contributing to business decisions.
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building and presentation skills.
  • The confidence to challenge existing processes and suggest better ways of working.

Interested in Finding Out More?

If you're already managing Financial Advisers but would welcome greater autonomy, more involvement in business strategy and the opportunity to influence the future direction of a growing Wealth Management firm, this could be an excellent next step.

You don't need to be actively looking. If the opportunity sounds interesting, I'd be delighted to have an informal, confidential conversation.
