Medical Critical Equipment Installer
Location: UK-wide (must be willing to travel and work away 95% of the time)
Contract Type: Permanent
Pay Rate:
A specialist electrical and gas detection company that supplies medical critical care equipment to NHS and private hospitals across the UK. Installations take place in both new-build and retrofit hospital environments and involve working closely with principal contractors or directly with hospital trusts.

Location: UK-wide (must be willing to travel and work away 95% of the time)

Pay Rate:
During training: £28,000 – £30,000 depending on age
Post-training: £35,000+
With overtime: Potential earnings £40,000+
Additional: Christmas bonus, all expenses paid when working away (including digs, breakfast, evening meal, and a few pints!)

Key Responsibilities:
- Installation of medical critical care equipment across various hospital departments
- 1st Fix: Installing structural frames to pre-installed steelwork or directly to the ceiling slab
- 2nd Fix: Mounting equipment and connecting electrical/medical gas systems following leak testing
- 3rd Fix: Installing accessories/peripherals as per hospital specifications
- Working to strict mechanical tolerances using calibrated tools (e.g. torque wrenches, inclinometers)
- Ensuring all work complies with hospital documentation and safety requirements
- No experience necessary – full training provided
- Basic Health & Safety qualifications such as CSCS or ECS are ideal (but can be gained prior to starting)
- Willingness to work away from home extensively
- Commitment to a 3-month probation/shadowing period before formal training
- Driving licence
- All training provided and certified at the supplier's headquarters
- Week-long medical pendant installation training in Germany
- 3-day medical lights installation training in Germany (all expenses paid)
