TITLE Freelance Site Manager - 2 positions available

Build to Rent Project - South Wales - £300 to £400 per day

Your new company Our client is a nationally recognised construction and infrastructure contractor with a proven track record in delivering high-profile residential developments across the UK. Known for their commitment to innovation, sustainability, and quality, they are currently delivering a range of large-scale schemes that support long-term urban regeneration and modern living.

Your new role Our client is seeking two experienced Freelance Site Managers to join the team on a landmark £55 million Build to Rent development in South Wales. These roles offer the opportunity to take ownership of key areas on-site, helping to drive the successful delivery of a high-spec residential scheme from structural phase through to completion.

Responsibilities will include:

• Leading daily site operations in line with programme and safety requirements

• Coordinating subcontractors, labour, and suppliers to ensure smooth workflow

• Managing quality assurance, inspections, and snagging processes

• Supporting the wider project management team in delivering progress reports and updates

• Ensuring full compliance with health and safety legislation on site

• Attending project meetings and contributing to site planning and logistics

• Maintaining accurate records of works, variations, and material deliveries

• Overseeing works to ensure adherence to design and specification

What you will need to succeed:

• Demonstrable experience as a Site Manager on large-scale residential or build-to-rent projects

• Strong knowledge of RC frame construction methods and sequencing

• Valid SMSTS, CSCS (Black or Gold Card), and First Aid at Work

• Excellent communication skills and ability to manage multiple trades on site

• Strong attention to detail and high standards of workmanship

• Competent with site documentation, H&S compliance, and client liaison

• Available to work on a freelance basis for the duration of the project
