Job Description


Reporting to the Director, Sales & Marketing, the Marketing & Communications Manager will develop and execute marketing strategies to enhance brand visibility, drive revenue, and engage guests. This role ensures brand consistency across digital, print, PR, and social media while supporting sales, events, and reputation management. In this role, Marketing & Communications Manager will be responsible for the following:



  • Develop and implement marketing strategies aligned with Fairmont & Accor brand standards.

  • Conduct market research and optimize campaigns for maximum ROI.

  • Manage content creation for press releases, blogs, newsletters, and social media.

  • Lead photoshoots and video production to support marketing initiatives.

  • Ensure content is aligned with brand identity, business goals, and remains up-to-date across all platforms.

  • Develop and execute a robust social media strategy.

  • Manage digital campaigns, influencer partnerships, website SEO, email marketing, and paid advertising.

  • Leverage data insights to optimize engagement and conversions.

  • Plan and execute digital, print, and outdoor advertising campaigns.

  • Develop promotional materials and track campaign performance.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key media outlets, journalists, and influencers.

  • Write and distribute press releases, media kits, and other PR materials.

  • Monitor and report on PR performance to enhance brand perception.

  • Work closely with the Events and Activations Manager to support hotel events, promotions, and revenue initiatives.

  • Collaborate with F&B and local partners for activations.

  • Work with Ottawa Tourism to host important clients and build relationships.

  • Support the Sales team with marketing collateral.

  • Implement internal communication strategies and manage crisis communications.

  • Monitor and respond to guest reviews across platforms.

  • Enhance online reputation and guest satisfaction.

  • Track KPIs, optimize budgets, and report on campaign performance.

  • Collaborate with the Director on special Sales & Marketing projects.

  • Ensure compliance with hotel policies and procedures.

  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned.


Qualifications



  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or Hospitality.

  • 3–5 years of experience in luxury hospitality, travel, or lifestyle marketing.

  • Strong expertise in digital marketing, social media, and PR.

  • Proficiency in CMS, Adobe Creative Suite, WordPress, Google Analytics, Sprout Social (or other social media management tools), and email marketing tools.

  • Knowledge of SEO, SEM, and CRM tools is an asset.

  • Strong project management, communication, and analytical skills.

  • Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.

  • Fluency in English; additional languages are an asset.

  • Familiarity with Fairmont’s brand and service standards is highly desirable.
