The Highways Network Management team are looking to appoint a Principal Engineer covering the Coordination and Compliance of activities on the highway network throughout Kirklees including Street Works and Works for Road purposes.

The Role
The role will focus on the coordination and compliance of activities undertaken on the highway network throughout Kirklees along with the day-to-day management of the NRASWA team, and will include:
- Hold a Network Management duty with a clear focus on minimising delay and disruption.
- Be responsible for the co-ordination of works, developments, and events.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with required procedures.
- Manage Co-ordination and Performance meetings as required with works promoters and with neighbouring authorities.
- Be responsible for the supervision and management, of your team undertaking appraisals, 1-2-1’s etc.
- Formulate replies to enquiries and service requests as required and provide advice to engineers/senior engineers.
- Predominantly office-based, attending meetings and site meetings.
- Hold a full and valid driving licence, and a willingness to undertake a Kirklees Council driving assessment.

This role includes travelling to and between sites, this requires a full and valid driving licence and completion of a Kirklees Council driving assessment.
