Experienced Sign Maker and Installer
We are looking for an experienced Sign Maker and Installer to join our friendly, professional team at Signs Express (Cardiff) to help us create and install a wide and exciting range of signage.

- Location: Signs Express (Cardiff)
- Salary: From £27,000 per year dependent on experience
- Working Hours: Full-time position, Monday-Friday
- Travel: A full, clean driving licence and own transport is essential for local travel

Duties Include
- Installing all types of internal and external signage, including fascia and post mounted signs.
- Ensuring all installations are completed on time, to budget and to our usual high standards.
- Sign making, working with a wide range of substrates including Dibond, acrylics, metals, wood, vinyl and Foamex, to a consistently high standard.
- Application of vinyl onto a variety of substrates including vehicles and window graphics.
- Interpreting briefs accurately with a great understanding of different signage and manufacturing techniques.
- Operate and maintain large format printers, vinyl cutters and laminators.
- Conducting site surveys.
- Following all company procedures and guidelines to ensure all signs are fitted safely and securely.
- Ensuring Risk Assessments and Method Statements are understood and followed.
- Taking responsibility for your own and others’ health and safety when working.
- Providing outstanding customer service to our clients and others at all times.
- Assisting in-house production staff when required.
- A minimum of 2 years' industry experience making and installing a wide range of signage solutions.
- Experience in use of wide format printers, vinyl plotters and laminators together with a strong understanding of signage and manufacturing techniques is essential.
- Proven experience in a sign fitting role is absolutely necessary, encompassing vehicle graphics application, panel application, installation and use of relevant software packages.
- You will have a positive, can-do attitude, be well organised and be able to work alone as well as part of our team.
- Good working knowledge of design and RIP software.
- The ability to interpret briefs accurately.
- IPAF/PASMA/CSCS accreditations (desirable but not essential).
- Clean driving licence.
- Professional, flexible, enthusiastic individual, a strong communicator, well organised and be able to work alone, as well as part of a team.
- An understanding of the importance of health & safety.
- You will have the use of our company vehicles, with all tools, uniform and PPE also being provided.
