Why This Role Matters
This role is critical to accelerating Idwal’s growth in EMEA by winning new customers across key maritime segments. By helping shipowners, charterers, and technical and commercial teams adopt proactive ship condition inspections and ongoing monitoring, you will enable customers to reduce operational risk, protect asset value, and make better decisions across the vessel lifecycle-while building a predictable, scalable subscription and inspections revenue stream for Idwal.
The Role
As Regional Growth Lead, EMEA, you are responsible for winning new customers (“new logos”) and opening new revenue streams for Idwal across the region. This is a new business role focused on proactive prospecting, stakeholder engagement and deal execution-from first contact and discovery through to closing platform subscriptions and minimum inspection volume commitments. You will also help build Idwal’s brand presence in EMEA by representing the business at relevant industry events and forums, with regular travel to priority countries to meet customers, partners and prospects in person.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively identify, prioritise, and pursue target shipowners, charterers, operators and technical managers across EMEA, engaging both commercial and technical stakeholders to secure introductions and qualified meetings.
- Lead discovery to understand customers’ vessel portfolio and asset-management priorities, and clearly articulate the benefits and ROI of proactive ship condition inspections and monitoring.
- Own the sales process end-to-end-from first contact to close-including solution shaping, proposals, commercials, negotiation, and contracting.
- Close platform subscription agreements and secure minimum inspection volume commitments that support predictable recurring revenue.
- Build and maintain a healthy pipeline and accurate forecast; track activity, conversion rates, and deal progress to deliver against targets.
- Build Idwal’s presence in EMEA by representing the business at industry events and forums, strengthening our network with partners and influencers, and converting engagement into qualified opportunities.
- Travel regularly across key EMEA markets to meet prospects and partners in person, build relationships, and progress opportunities.
- Capture market and customer insights (competitors, pricing, needs) and feed them back to product and leadership to strengthen Idwal’s offering in EMEA.
Success Measures
- New logo acquisition: consistent generation of qualified opportunities and closed-won new customers in EMEA.
- Subscription and volume commitments: platform subscriptions sold with agreed minimum inspection volumes that support predictable revenue.
- Pipeline health: sufficient pipeline coverage and accurate forecasting against quarterly targets.
- Sales execution: strong conversion rates through the funnel, timely progression of opportunities, and disciplined CRM hygiene.
- Brand and market presence: consistent visibility in priority EMEA markets through events/industry forums, with measurable outcomes such as meetings generated, partner referrals, and opportunities influenced.
- Market penetration: progress against agreed priority segments and accounts (e.g., shipowners, charterers, technical managers) in target EMEA geographies.
