The RoleWorking as part of a successful audit team in Cardiff, you will take ownership of audit assignments from planning through to completion while supporting managers in delivering an outstanding client experience.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading audit assignments from planning through to final completion.
- Supervising, reviewing and supporting the work of junior team members.
- Coaching and mentoring colleagues to aid their professional development.
- Building strong relationships with clients across a varied portfolio.
- Identifying key audit risks and ensuring work is completed to a high technical standard.
- Preparing and reviewing financial statements in accordance with UK GAAP and IFRS.
- Collaborating with colleagues across the wider business to deliver high-quality client service.
- Managing audit work efficiently to agreed budgets and deadlines.
- Working both remotely and on client sites using modern audit technology.
We're keen to speak with candidates who can demonstrate:
- ACA, ACCA or CA qualification, or those nearing completion.
- Recent external audit experience gained within an accountancy practice.
- Experience managing audit assignments from planning through to completion.
- Strong knowledge of International Standards on Auditing (ISA).
- Experience preparing statutory accounts under UK GAAP and/or IFRS.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Confidence using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
- A proactive approach with the ability to work independently and within a team.
- Salary of £38,000 - £43,000 depending on experience.
