We're recruiting for an Electrician to join an established facilities team in Cardiff, working within a secure prison environment. This role offers a stable, long-term position with structured working patterns and ongoing development.

As an Electrician, you'll carry out planned and reactive maintenance on essential electrical systems, ensuring a safe and compliant environment in Cardiff.

Key Responsibilities:

In this Maintenance Electrician role, you will:

Carry out planned and preventive maintenance across electrical systems
* Diagnose faults and complete repairs
* Undertake minor installation works and component replacements
* Conduct inspections and testing in line with regulations
* Complete maintenance records and reports accurately
* Support general maintenance and operational requirements
* Work within strict Health & Safety procedures in a prison environment

What we're looking for:

To be successful as an Electrician, you should have:

City & Guilds, NVQ or equivalent in Electrical Installation (Level 2+)
* 18th Edition certification (or willingness to update)
* Experience in maintenance and fault finding
* Good understanding of Health & Safety requirements
* Basic IT skills
* Flexible approach to working patterns, including weekends
* Desirable knowledge of fire alarm and CCTV systems
