The Role
Are you an experienced Construction professional looking to move into Further Education, or an established Lecturer looking for your next opportunity?
Aspire People are working in partnership with Further Education providers across South Wales to recruit experienced Lecturers in Construction.
This is a fantastic opportunity to use your industry knowledge and expertise to support the next generation of learners, helping students develop practical skills, achieve qualifications and progress into employment or further study.
Working within a Construction department, you will:
* Deliver high-quality teaching across Construction programmes
* Deliver practical and theory-based sessions reflecting current industry standards
* Support learners working towards vocational construction qualifications
* Assess practical and written work and provide constructive feedback
* Prepare learners for employment, apprenticeships and further study
* Monitor learner progress, attendance and achievement
* Support learners with SEN/ALN and behavioural needs
* Contribute to curriculum development and quality improvement
* Embed employability, English and maths skills into vocational teaching
What We're Looking For
* Level 3 qualification or higher in a relevant construction discipline
* Strong industry experience within the construction sector
* Up-to-date knowledge of construction practices and industry standards
* Experience supporting apprentices, trainees or learners is desirable
* Strong practical and theoretical knowledge
* Teaching or training qualification is desirable
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
* Experience supporting learners with SEN/ALN is beneficial
