This is an excellent opportunity for a Supply Planning Lead professional who enjoys driving operational excellence, improving supply chain performance, and working collaboratively across multiple departments.

As the Supply Planning Lead, based in Cardiff, you will take ownership of the end-to-end supply planning process, ensuring materials and finished goods are available to meet customer demand while maintaining optimal inventory levels. Working closely with production, procurement, logistics, and sales teams, you will play a key role in balancing supply and demand, identifying risks, and implementing effective planning strategies.

The Supply Planning Lead based in Cardiff will be joining a well-established FMCG manufacturer with a strong reputation for quality, innovation, and continuous improvement. You'll be part of a supportive leadership team where your expertise will directly influence operational performance and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities of the Supply Planning Lead based in Cardiff;

• Lead the supply planning function to ensure consistent product availability.
• Develop and maintain accurate supply plans aligned with production capacity and customer demand.
• Monitor inventory levels and implement strategies to optimise stock while minimising waste.
• Collaborate with procurement, production, warehousing, and logistics teams to ensure efficient material flow.
• Analyse planning data, identify trends, and provide recommendations to improve supply chain performance.
• Manage planning parameters within the ERP/MRP system to support business objectives.
• Identify potential supply risks and implement mitigation plans.
• Produce and present supply planning reports and KPIs to senior stakeholders.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across planning processes.

About You

• Previous experience in a senior supply planning role within a manufacturing or FMCG environment.
• Strong understanding of supply chain, inventory management, MRP/ERP systems, and production planning.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Confident communicator with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Experience leading or mentoring planning teams is highly desirable.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and planning systems.
