Aspire People are currently recruiting for an experienced Mathematics Teacher or Leader for an opportunity in Cardiff.

This could suit an experienced Maths teacher with existing leadership experience, a current Maths Leader looking for their next opportunity, or an ambitious practitioner ready to take on greater responsibility.

You will have the opportunity to support and lead Mathematics provision, working collaboratively with colleagues to promote high standards of teaching, learning and pupil achievement.

The Role

You will be responsible for:

Supporting the delivery of high-quality Mathematics teaching
Providing leadership and guidance within Mathematics
Supporting colleagues with teaching, learning and classroom practice
Monitoring standards and identifying areas for development
Using assessment and pupil data to monitor progress
Contributing to curriculum planning and development
Supporting appropriate interventions to improve pupil outcomes
Sharing effective practice and supporting colleagues' development
Promoting high expectations for behaviour, engagement and achievement
Working collaboratively with teaching staff and school leaders

What We're Looking For

QTS or relevant teaching qualification
Strong subject knowledge and experience teaching Mathematics
Experience achieving positive outcomes for pupils
Previous subject, curriculum or departmental leadership experience is desirable
Strong understanding of teaching, learning and assessment
Confidence using data to monitor progress and identify priorities
Ability to support and develop colleagues
Strong organisational, communication and leadership skills
A commitment to high expectations and inclusive education
EWC registration or willingness to obtain
Enhanced DBS for Children on the DBS Update Service
