Wealth Management | Operational Responsibility | Excellent Benefits

An opportunity to make a real impact

I am recruiting an experienced, proactive and commercially minded Practice Manager to join a successful wealth management practice based in Cardiff.

The business manages high net worth client wealth, supporting with investments, pensions, protection and estate planning.

With an established reputation, a highly personalised approach to client service and ambitious plans for growth, the practice is looking for someone who can take ownership of its day-to-day operations.

Working closely with the Directors, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the business runs smoothly, efficiently and professionally, while continually enhancing the service delivered to clients.

This is an opportunity to become a trusted and influential member of a small, ambitious business where your ideas and contribution will genuinely matter.

The Role

As Practice Manager, you will oversee the operational and administrative functions of the practice, ensuring that the Directors can focus on advising clients and developing the business.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Taking responsibility for the smooth and efficient day-to-day running of the practice.
  • Managing workflows, priorities, client review schedules and administrative processes.
  • Providing high-level operational and organisational support to the two Directors.
  • Overseeing client communications and ensuring a consistently exceptional client experience.
  • Coordinating client onboarding, new business processing and accurate record management.
  • Working alongside the operations team to ensure deadlines and service standards are maintained.
  • Reviewing and improving internal processes, systems and ways of working.
  • Supporting the coordination of client events and business development activities.
  • Using technology and AI to improve productivity, efficiency and service delivery.
  • Ensuring appropriate administrative procedures, confidentiality and record-keeping standards are maintained.
About You

We are looking for someone who is ambitious, naturally organised, confident taking responsibility and genuinely enjoys making a business run effectively. You will be client facing, the first point of contact representing the business so will enjoy the personal aspect of the role.

You will ideally have:

  • Previous experience as a Practice Manager, Office Manager, Operations Manager or senior EA with substantial operational responsibility.
  • Experience in working in financial services
  • A proven ability to manage multiple priorities and coordinate the activities of a busy professional practice.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with the confidence to suggest and implement improvements.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a high degree of professionalism.
  • The confidence and discretion to work with high-net-worth clients and sensitive financial information.
  • Strong IT skills and proficiency in using AI to support business efficiency.
  • A collaborative approach, combined with the ability to work independently and take ownership.

Experience within wealth management, financial advice or another regulated professional services environment would be highly advantageous.

Why Join?

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a successful, growing business where you will have genuine responsibility, visibility and influence.

Rather than being one of many in a large organisation, you'll work closely with the business owners, helping shape operational processes, enhance the client experience and support the continued growth of the practice.

Salary & Benefits
  • £35,000–£45,000 depending on experience
  • 26 days' annual leave plus bank holidays
