Graduate Water Sampling Consultant- Contract Role - #1664835

My client, a specialist UK based Engineering and Environmental Consultancy, is searching for a Graduate Consultant to join a supportive team based in central Cardiff for a fixed term contract.

It is essential that applicants have a strong academic background including a MSc and/or BSc in Hydrology, Geography, Environmental Modelling or Hydraulic Modelling and ideally have a driving licence. You will be expected to have a keen interest in hydrology, hydrometry, GIS, hydraulic modelling and water quality.

Candidates are required to have a strong background in numeracy (preferably a strong A level or GCSE in Mathematics or Science) and an interest in data sampling and analysis. A driving licence is also beneficial as you will be expected to drive to sites to complete sampling.

As a Graduate Consultant you will join a specialist flood risk team in Cardiff for a fixed term contract of 6 to 9 months. During this time you will be expected to complete site work and reports including;

-Water Quality Sampling on site.

-Water monitoring, Hydrometry and Peat Surveys.

-Flood Risk Assessments and Flood Consequence Assessments for Planning Applications

-Strategic Flood Risk Assessment for developers.

-Flood Estimation using ReFH and Winfap

-Rainfall Analysis,

-GIS Mapping.
