Description

• Plan, coordinate, and manage audit engagements from start to finish.
• Review and approve audit files to ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
• Provide technical guidance to team members and support their professional development.
• Liaise with clients to address audit findings and offer practical recommendations.
• Monitor budgets and timelines for audit projects, ensuring efficiency and accuracy.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in accounting and auditing standards.
• Support business development activities by identifying opportunities with existing clients.
• Collaborate with other departments to deliver a seamless service to clients.

Profile

• ACA or ACCA qualified with experience gained within an accountancy practice.
• Broad audit experience across a varied range of clients.
• Previous responsibility for managing an audit portfolio.
• Good technical understanding of FRS 102.
• Experience managing, coaching and mentoring junior team members.
• Commercially minded with a strong understanding of client requirements.
• Comfortable working within professional regulations and best-practice standards.
• Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
• Confident and professional when dealing directly with clients.
• Good IT and computer skills.
• Ambitious and resilient with the drive to achieve strong results.
• Committed to delivering high-quality client service.

Job Offer

• Salary of £55,000-£65,000 per annum, dependent on the level of experience.
• Company pension scheme.
• 25 days of annual leave plus bank holidays.
• Additional annual leave days at certain levels of seniority.
• Option to purchase up to 5 extra annual leave days, reaching a maximum of 30 days per year.
• Business closure over Christmas.
